![]() ![]() I've been watching some of the MagicMirror tutorials on YouTube, and even the most basic of configurations will likely work for me BUT. I even created a brand new Google account just in case I wanted to use Google Calendar for that.but I use Apple so much, I suspect that's the way I'm going to want to lean, if that's well-supported. I don't want any past history, so I don't need import or copy anything. What I want to do is, have a single family calendar - something new and "clean" starting from right now. So my question is this: what's the best, most configurable, module (or built in?) calendar for my needs? I've been working with Linux/Unix for decades, know my way around the Raspberry Pi, and want to use this as a single-purpose device. The RPi 4 has a long (really long) camera ribbon cable coming out of it, so if an RPi camera module (Infrared or regular) would be useful for something in this 's easy to connect.Waiting on the Micro HDMI cable to arrive, so I can connect that up tomorrow. I'm connecting the RPi 4 to a 24" LCD monitor that's in the center of the main room (over the treadmill) so it will be a good place for everyone to see information.Everyone in the house has access to a Microsoft 365 subscription (with Outlook email/calendar).(Just thinking about methods of controlling/modifying the calendar.) I feel like we primarily use Apple's calendar system and iCloud. We are heavily invested in the Apple infrastructure. Everyone in the house has an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and we have two iPads.I'm repurposing an RPi 4 for a glanceable family calendar. ![]()
